We are proposing a charter school for grades 6 to 12 offering a curriculum that provides pathways for careers in public service and as first responders.

OUR FOCUS

An educational program with a specific focus on preparing students for careers as first responders and public service.

PLANNED OPENING

The Charter School plans to open with 150 6th, 7th and 8th graders in September 2026, subject to approval from the Board of the Radnor School District.  The School District’s Board will be holding public hearings on the Charter School’s application for a five-year charter. The Charter School will grow one grade each year until it has grades 6 to 12.

Amenities Being Considered

Community Recreation Center

Once the charter school application is approved, the Foundation is open to exploring the idea of transforming the former Regimental Mess Hall into a Radnor Community Recreation Center—a new hub for families and neighbors to gather, play, and stay active! The proposed center would feature basketball and pickleball courts, and an indoor soccer field. It would also include multipurpose activity rooms and office space designed as shared sign-out spaces for the community. Architectural drawings have already been completed, and we are currently assessing renovation details. We want to hear from you: Would a Community Recreation Center meet a need in Radnor? Serving

Once the charter school application is approved, the Foundation is open to exploring the idea of repurposing two of the former barracks into 30 affordable one-bedroom apartments. These homes would be reserved for teachers, first responders, and other essential workers serving Radnor Township, with an expected rent of $1,500 per month. The Radnor 2035 Comprehensive Plan notes that it is becoming increasingly difficult for community-serving professionals to afford housing close to where they work. Our teachers, firefighters, police officers, and restaurant workers are essential to community welfare, and we believe they deserve access to quality housing and a more reasonable commute. The Community Village would help address this challenge, keeping essential workers closer to the community they serve.
